Join us at the next Brussels Sanctions Roundtable  on 30 January 2024 for a Brussels Sanctions Roundtable session with our highly experienced experts. The panelists start with a presentation and we encourage active participation of all attendants in the following discussions.

The roundtable discussion will begin with a presentation of the legal-historical development of criminalization of sanctions across the EU based on the key primary and secondary sources, and highlight open questions, such as

• policy choices that need to be made by different Member States in the implementation of  the Directive.
• the relationship between administrative and criminal enforcement actions, and
• the relationship with sanctions compliance obligations, the non-liability clauses in EU Sanctions regulations, and
• practical notes on what EU companies should prepare or monitor.

The Roundtable will be followed by an in-person networking drink for the in-person attendants.
